We recently had a great time at our BBQ night, which was a fun and engaging event for our community to connect and enjoy some delicious food. We’re delighted to share some photos from the event, which captured the joy and happiness that was present throughout the evening. Additionally, we’re proud to showcase some photos of our clients’ self- built clocks, which were created during one of our group activities. It was a meaningful and engaging project, and we’re impressed with the creativity and skills that were demonstrated by our clients. GROUNDING TECHNIQUES CAN BE A HELPFUL WAY TO MANAGE STRESS, ANXIETY, AND OTHER EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES. HERES FOUR TO TRY 1. Sensory Grounding: This technique involves using your senses to focus on your surroundings, which can help you feel more present and grounded in the moment. Examples include listening to calming music, touching different textures, smelling calming scents, or looking at visually calming images. 2. Breathing Exercises: Breathing exercises are a simple yet effective way to help calm the mind and body. One technique is to take deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth, focusing on the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body. You can also try counting your breaths, or breathing in to a count of four and out to a count of six. 3. Progressive Muscle Relaxation: This technique involves tensing and relaxing different muscle groups in your body, one at a time, to release tension and promote relaxation. Starting at your toes and working your way up to your head, tense each muscle group for a few seconds, then release and relax. You can repeat this process a few times, focusing on each muscle group individually. 4. Mindfulness: Mindfulness involves being present in the moment and focusing on your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment. You can practice mindfulness by taking a few minutes to focus on your breath and the present moment, or by using guided meditation apps or videos to help you stay present and calm.
